Salisbury Radiology Group provides an excellent service for the imaging of the renal tract, in particular the kidneys, bladder, and prostate using both ultrasound and the latest high definition CT scans.
In addition to this, we are able to do key-hole procedures such as nephrostomies (placing a tube through the skin into a blocked kidney), internal stenting of the ureters (the tube between the kidney and bladder), prostate biopsies, and – alongside the urologists – removing large kidney stones through a tract made from the skin to the kidney (percutaneous nephrolithotomy – PCNL).
